Who you’ll be working for: A successful privately-owned company based in East Donegal who specialise in both large-scale Farming and projects in the Renewable Energy Sector throughout the island of Ireland. Continued growth within the company has created several vacancies. These represent excellent opportunities for the right candidates to play pivotal roles in growing a small business in a specialist market segment. What you’ll be doing: The person appointed in this role has responsibility for complete and up to the minute control over all Finance & Admin aspects of the company including the below: Accounting Sales, Purchase, General ledgers. Stock ledger as needed. Prepayments and Accruals. VAT records, returns and payments. Reporting Daily/weekly/monthly KPI (see below). Monthly management accounts. P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow report and forecast, and all appropriate analyses. Ad hoc Board reports. Covenant adherence for Forward and Backward measurement periods. Accounting policies. Preparation for annual audit. Analysis Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register. Reconciliation of Loan accounts. Reconciliation of Interco accounts. Reconciliation of all Balance Sheet accounts. Forecasting Annual budgets. Updating the model each month. Cashflow forecasting (weekly, monthly and annual). Cash controls. Credit control/debt collection. Purchase Ledger control/payment runs. Bank reconciliations. Cheque and Internet bank mandates and signing levels (General & Reserve Accounts). Administration Company vehicles Insurances Regulatory compliance Health & Safety Primary IT system maintenance, back-ups, security etc. What You’ll Need to Have: You will have excellent credentials and experience. It is essential that you have significant recent experience as a Financial Controller preferably within a similar or relative environment preferably with 5-10 years at this level managing multi million-euro assets /turnover businesses. You should be ACA/ACCA or CIMA qualified. You will need to be self-motivated and flexible with excellent inter-personal skills. You should be able to create and maintain good working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels. The position requires a professional and confidential approach to the role in terms of handling of data and information.
