Initial requirement will be for a half day per week increasing to full time increasing to full time as the rollout in the Dublin region progresses. .

General Responsibilities

Major Duties & Functions
Telcordia Technologies is seeking an experienced Sr. Software engineer to develop real time core network application for mobile wireless carriers. This system provides the foundation for mobile device access control on the mobile network. Your responsibility will be to provide the design, architecture, development and test strategies for these systems. The ideal candidate will have experience testing wireless services, utilizing messaging technologies, and Java. As senior software engineer you will be responsible for all aspects of Product Development, including systems design & Architecture, Analysis, Design and Coding. Work closely with other Senior Software Engineers to achieve accurate release dates. Carry out and prototype product Ideas for new systems and solutions. Recommending and Implementing new techniques to optimise and improve current products. Extend product to cater for new Network Interfaces/customer integration. Testing of the developed code. Qualifications You Must Have
Candidate must be able to work independently, have a solid approach to full Software development life cycle. A minimum of 7 years core Java, competent in J2EE (mainly server side). Experience and knowledge, JBoss application server preferred, Strong Unix skills, Strong Database Oracle and/or MySQL knowledge. Telecoms experience GSM, with SS7 MAP Protocol beneficial. Have the ability to manage a small team of engineers. Excellent analytical skills
