Wound Care Clinical Support Specialist - Dublin
Territory - Dublin, Wicklow, Louth and Meath
Position Summary
The Clinical Support Specialist (CSS) will work closely with their Territory Manager colleague to educate and promote Company Therapies to Health Care Professionals and patients in both the acute and non-acute settings. The CSS will be fully involved in arranging the seamless transfer of patients from the acute to the home setting. This will involve liaising with all stakeholders to ensure that both patients and carers are fully comfortable with all relevant aspects of the Product. The CSS will conduct training in both the acute and non-acute settings in line with the needs of the local territory and the Company Ireland marketing strategy.
Major Responsibilities
• Achievement of agreed business objectives in terms of service and activity levels
• To co-ordinate with hospital, community care & Company Team, the seamless discharge of patients onsProduct from acute to non-acute settings.
• To work closely with Public Health & other home care Nurses in ensuring patients discharged on Product continue to receive optimum care. This will involve visiting patients in home care settings and educating both medical staff and patients in the optimum use of Product
• To deliver training and conduct workshops for health care professionals (HCP's) on an as needed basis in line with local territory needs and the Company Ireland Sales & Marketing strategy.
• To be an expert clinical resource on Product for both internal & external customers.
• To plan & prioritize workload in order to achieve the optimum outcome for the patient, the HCP and Company
• To build and enhance professional relationships with all internal and external customers
• To work very closely with the Territory Manager in promoting both Company and its therapies so as to achieve the financial targets set for the territory
• To complete territory administration to the expected standard
• To assist with market development efforts, which lead to a growth in Sales by providing potential opportunities to the Territory Manager.
• To maintain awareness of changes and developments in health care practices and processes, in addition ensures ongoing expert knowledge of the wound care field.
• Participates in on call rota as required.
• Participates in any and all reasonable work activities as may be deemed suitable and assigned by management
• To strive at all times to model the Company Guiding principles
Experience & qualifications
• Professional medical qualification essential (e.g. RGN)
• Previous clinical experience in wound care viewed favorably
• Previous Sales and/or Nurse Advisory experience viewed favorably
• Previous experience of educating through group presentations via power point viewed favorably
• Full clean driving license
• IT/MS Office proficient

Physical Conditions
• Field based, time predominantly spent in acute/homecare setting
• Substantial amount of driving involved so ability, willingness and flexibility to travel frequently is essential
• Some out-of-hours work required including evenings and weekends
• Partake in out of hours Clinical telephone support Rota
