Senior Supply Chain Manager

Manage and direct the EUDC and logistics related functions focusing on improved service to customers and utilizing the new location to generate freight cost reductions.
Liaise with other manufacturing sites and distribution centre's to facilitate inter-company communication to meet corporate operational goals.
Liaise with management of each (Strategic Business Unit (SBU) and Shared Service Centre (SSC) to ensure best fit Supply Chain support is in place.
Responsible for managing the day to day workload and operational issues. This includes, but is not limited to, setting team objectives, carrying out performance appraisals, generating training plans and dealing with performance related issues. Provide coaching and support to direct reports in their day to day roles and acting as a point of escalation where necessary for specific issues that may arise.
Manage freight expenditure for all aspects of the European Distribution Centre supply chain.
Ensure inventory turns and target minimum stock levels for raw materials and finished goods are maintained in line with service level targets.
Manage the relationship with critical vendors, liaising with them when necessary on the purchase of Raw Materials, to ensure target stock levels and accurate delivery dates are achieved.
Provide technical support to activities relating to supplier selection and evaluation, material qualification, and supplier performance. Assess supplier capabilities through technical discussions etc.
Manage costs for EUDC logistics department.
Lead the team in continuous improvement of systems and processes.
Ensure above functions are carried out in line with internal Quality procedures, ISO 13485, MDD and FDA QSR.
Ensure that Code of Conduct is complied with in all business matters carried out.
Ensure that the brand and image is communicated in a positive and consistent manner to all customers, both external and internal.
Qualifications
Third level degree in a relevant field of study with relevant inventory planning qualification i.e. (APICS/IIPMM)
Relevant management experience in a complex, multi-disciplined environment ideally within the medical device industry.
Understanding of commercial implications of Supply Chain management, including experience of financial planning and budgeting.
Experience in the medical device industry, though not a requirement would be an advantage.
Ability to speak German, though not a requirement would be an advantage
Good working knowledge of Microsoft® Office is a prerequisite.
Proven problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritise workloads in a fast paced environment.
High self-motivation.
Requirements
