Implant and Instrument Technician - Dublin
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager the successful candidate will work with the SurgiKit Team (currently 4) in the continuing development of this Company's Orthopaedic Loaner Service business, with a special interest in Instrument and Implant systems.
Basic Requirements:
• 3 years experience in Theatre and/or CSSD OR 3 years experience in a similar role
• General knowledge of Instrumentation and their function an advantage
• Some orthopaedic experience an advantage
• Computer literate in Word, Excel and Outlook
• Knowledge of Sage an advantage
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven attention to detail and follow through
• Self motivated with a strong sense of initiative and drive
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Co-ordination of all sets in and out of hospital environments
• Checking of Sets
-Checking the cleanliness of instrument sets, paying particular attention to cannulated instruments
e.g. missing parts
-Checking instruments are functioning correctly
-Ensuring all broken instruments are repaired and or replaced
• Ensuring all implants cases are fully stocked
-Advising SurgiKit Customer Care of situations when this is not the case along with the relevant CFT Member, well in advance, and proactively working with Company personnel and all Teams to ensure that implants are available
• Producing all relevant paperwork for Theatre staff
-Master lists of implants and instruments

• Ensuring all sets are delivered to the correct area of a hospital

• Developing systems that relevant personnel are aware of set movements at any given time
• Communication with Surgikit Customer Care
-Problems with sets
-Follow through on outstanding implants
-Improving and developing new procedures
-Work with SurgiKit Customer Care & CFT regarding updating hospital details on a regular basis in areas such as hospital personnel and departments in order to have accurate deliveries
