full time Senior Programme Manager/Contract

A multinational company based in the South Limerick/ North Cork (35 minutes from Limerick City Centre) requires a Project Manager for the Dublin area.


Lead the Business Transformation PMO Office by providing centralised direction and support to all projects & Programme Leadership to ensure achievement of Programme goals.



Overall Responsibilities:



Develop methods, tools and procedures/ standards for PMO/& Project Management


Co-ordination & Integration of individual project plans


Management of overall programme plan


Support the overall Programme governance model to ensure it is effective


Co-ordination of resource requirements


Co-ordinates & supports delivery activity


Project budget management (internal & external cost tracking)


Key interface for external partners



Assists in initial scoping & business case development for individual projects


Highlight and manage cross project inter-dependencies


Track, manage & escalate risks/ issues to ensure effective resolution


Manage change requests


Ensure effective progress monitoring against time, cost & quality benchmarks


Interface with key business stakeholders


Support provision of programme information


Management of programme/project meetings as required



Management of PMO staff



Key Skills Required:


General Management Skills:




  • Effective communicator

  • Ability to provide constructive challenge & critique

  • Able to obtain buy in and influence senior management

  • Ability to prioritise & delegate

  • Attention to detail & adherence to tight deadline

  • Able to work under pressure

  • People management skills


Industry/Functional Skills:




  • Qualified Project Manager (PRINCE 2 or equivalent)

  • Experience of large scale transformation programmes, preferably within a manufacturing environment

  • Use of MS Project & Standard MS Packages (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)

  • Numerate


Other:



  • Willingness to travel

  • Projects brought in on time & on cost


Key Interfaces/Reporting Lines



  • Reporting to - Business Transformation Director

  • Significant liaison with Project leads & ICT
