                                                         Assistant Accountant - German

An experienced Assistant Accountant with fluent German is required for a leading finance company in the Cork area.The Assistant Accountant will be based at the Company's Head Office in  Cork. Reporting to the Finance Manager whilst also liaising with the accounts team.

Main duties include:

• Processing supplier invoices.


• Reconciling supplier statements.


• Compiling weekly and monthly payments runs.


• Resolving supplier queries.


• Preparing monthly reports to agreed reporting dates.


• Preparation of Bank Reconciliations


• Preparation of Vat Returns


• Liaising with Accountants in Germany


• Responsible for Debtors Ledger


• Providing support to the Financial Accountant.

Candidate Profile
- Fluency in both German and English is essential
- At least 2 years Accounts Payable experience is required
- Must be computer literate with strong system skills
- Possess excellent communication skills
- A third level Business or Accounting Diploma/Degree is required. Candidates working towards a professional accountancy qualification will also be considered.
