Software tester - Dublin South.

The ideal candidate will be required to have strong problem resolution and judgment skills. My client would expect the Software Testers to participate in the analysis and design phases of production in order to ensure fundamental understanding of our products. The company environment is dynamic and ever changing. My client seeks a strong team player who is comfortable working in this atmosphere and has the motivation to strive towards constant effectiveness and efficiency within the Software Testing team.

Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates will possess previous experience of e-learning, IT or software solutions.

• Degree in computer science or equivalent education

• Working knowledge of MS Office suite & various Operating Systems .e.g Windows 2000, XP, 2003 and Vista & browsers

• Experience of testing in any systems developed in .Net, C#, ASP.Net JAVA, or/and SQL Server

• Strong knowledge of Web/Intranet and browser technologies

• Macromedia Flash familiarity

• Experience writing and executing automated test scripts preferred

• An understanding of e-learning preferred.

Responsibilities
• Designing test plans and procedures based on the agreed functional specification.

• Testing content for various delivery methods: Internet, different platforms, etc.

• Logging issues within the bug tracking system, evaluating and communicating issues to the developers.

• Collaboration with other teams and functions within the wider Product Development team with respect to bugs and processes.

• Reporting issues to PM where these could have an impact on a major deadline. And suggesting solutions to remedy impending impact.

• Interaction with other team members and PM to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the unit.

• Adhering to and contributing to company processes and procedures, identifying areas for improvement when necessary
