Assistant Technical Manager 



The role will involve participating, supporting and managing a team of QA personnel to ensure Food Safety, Quality Assurance and maintaining site standards as per customer & legal requirements



Key Responsibilities:


  • Day to day management of HACCP & Quality Control procedures and ensuring product safety and quality.
  • Conducting regular Quality and Food Safety checks.
  • Conducting & supporting Production / Site Audits
  • Preparation of reports & monitoring of micro, suppliers & packaging data.
  • Completion of product quality & positive release checks on various products across the site.
  • Reporting of out of specification results on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Ensuring customer and specification requirements are been achieved on a daily basis
  • Maintenance & upkeep of all QA files
  • Supplier assessments on a daily/weekly/monthly annual basis as per schedule
  • Involvement in Annual Review of Quality; Pre-requisite & HACCP manuals
  • Drafting & maintenance of the Sites SOPs

Candidate Requirments:


  • A minimum of 3 years experience in the food industry
  • Food Science degree
  • Strong understanding of food safety & quality requirments
  • Competent in speaking and writing English
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate standards to other members of staff,
  • attention to details is essential
  • Self starter and highly motivated
  • Excellent follow through and be prepared to query and investigate.
  • Ability to manage own tasks, work on own iniative and manage a small teal of QA personnel
  • In depth knowledge of BRC & ISO 2000 required

Remuneration Package:

€35,000 Basic plus usual benefits ie: holidays, health care, pension and target related bonuses.
