WiMAX Junior RF Optimization Engineer

This role is for 8 month contract, starting in April.

Key Responsibilities.

Provide RF optimization field engineering for our customers giving solutions on issues with their WiMAX Systems.

Advice and Solution both on performance and configuration issues on customer networks

Execution, Validation and Analysis of the Coverage Acceptance Tests to be performed on the network.

Analysis of network performance, identification of problems and advising customer on possible solutions.

Working and Coordinate in partnership with Customer and other groups (System Integration, Project Management Office, Central Professional Delivery Teams, Product Development) to ensure network improvement

Key Skills and Expertise Requirements

Knowledge and proven experience on the following areas:

· WiMAX Engineering practical experience on the field

· RF propagation

· RF Propagation models

· RF design and planning

· WiMAX 802.16d/e protocol and specifications. MAC protocol data units formats for 802.16 networks

· WiMAX OFDM/OFDMA, mechanisms for sub channelization, AAS and MIMO systems.

· Adaptive Antennas, MIMO, Beamforming, TXAA

· WiMAX frequencies, architecture, capability negotiation and contention procedures

· Handover on 802.16e, SHO, FBSS

· WiMAX RF Drive Testing experience - Couei, Agilent, Others - Troubleshooting

· RF Spectrum Analyzers - Interference Troubleshooting

· Antenna Patterns

· RF Site Survey

· Planning Tools - Atoll - ATDI - Others

· Excel Access and Perl advanced knowledge.
