The software development centre in Cork provides a challenging and rewarding professional environment for cutting edge software development. The Role:

  • Design, coding and unit testing software

  • Interfacing with software test team in preparing and maintaining the quality of the software development effort during system test and release test phases

  • Reporting on development effort within agreed formats and timescales

  • Interfacing with development and technical management in preparing, implementing, and maintaining:

  • Development Standards

  • Development Processes and Practices

  • Technical know how and development

  • Adhering to Software Development Lifecycle, processes and practices

  • Adhering to the Software Quality Management system

  • Ensure activities meet with and integrate with Our Client's Ireland organisation requirements for quality management, health and safety, HR policies and procedures and general duty of care

  • Develop self, and maintain knowledge in relevant field at all times.

Requirements:
· A degree or equivalent in a related engineering or computer science discipline is required.
· The ideal candidate will have 2 years Development experience in a commercial software industry.
· Experience and extensive knowledge of all of the following technologies is required:



  • Java GUI Development

  • Eclipse plug-in development including experience in core platform, SWT, EMF, GEF, GMF

  • Object Oriented Application Development

  • Unified Modeling Language (UML) design

  • JUnit or other unit testing frameworks

  • SVG/flash

  • XML libraries and binding technologies

  • CVS, Subversion

  • Quick Test Pro
