Job Description:



The PE sustains, maintains, and improves the production yield of product or sub-assembly of the product through monitoring of failure rates, trending the failures, and presenting alternative solutions to resolve the failure. Analyzes samples of defective units/sub-assemblies, reports the results to the necessary manufacturing department and/or vendor, and implements changes to the process or components as applicable.


Education:
Typically a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 6 plus years related experience or Master's degree and a minimum of 4-6 years experience.

Experience:
Design of product and understanding of manufacturing process.






 


 Experience Level 5+ Years experience in a Product Quality Role

The Role
To provide technical knowledge and support to ensure that our quality system, enables our manufacturing teams to meet availability & cost goals, while still maintaining our customer satisfaction in our quality standards. To be able to provide the tools, processes, training, documentation and support to adequately monitor and assess our Quality System. To be able to use process control methodologies such as continuous improvement systems and statistical analysis to improve and stabilize our processes
The role is to work in partnership with our Manufacturing team and partners to ensure that our Quality Systems work satisfactorily for our customers. To expose and address quality improvement opportunities through improved understanding of our processes and specifications.
To ensure quality of our inkjet cartridges through process control methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:
Proactively ensure a safe and tidy working environment
Provide the Program Management of implementing and maintaining our current quality system by monitor and reporting of our quality metrics.
Provide program Management of improving our quality system through linkage of part tracking, analytical and failure analysis data along with other product performance data.
Provide the direction and support for characterization of our quality system through the systems provided
Using process control methodologies such as continuous improvement systems and statistical analysis to improve and stabilize the processes
Train/coach/mentor other personnel

Minimum requirements:
Applicants should have a Bachelors Degree in Engineering/ Science, with at least 8 to 10 years experience in a Quality Role.
Experience in Product/Quality Engineering with the ability to program manage Quality Systems
To be able to provide a good understanding of quality processes, process control and ISO 9000
Demonstrated project/program management and delivery.
Demonstrated strength in organizational leadership, communication and teamwork skills that inspire others
Demonstrated excellent Oral and Written communications skills.
The ability to work well with people and particularly in a team environment.
Demonstrated a commitment to Manufacturing Excellence and Lean Practices
