DEMAND PLANNER:
Overview of the role of Demand Planner:
We are currently in the process of recruiting for a Demand Planner as our client a leading multinational is looking to expand their Supply Demand Management team.
This team is responsible for analyzing Demand and securing Supply to support all routes to Market in the EMEA region
We are looking for an ambitious individual who will be tasked with managing all aspects of Supply and Demand Management. The product lines include third party product as well as branded products.
The role will be part of the EMEA SDM Planning organization and as the business develops, planners may be asked to support other product ranges.
Responsibilities of the Demand Planner include but are not limited to:
Prepare preliminary and localized build plans and communicate to suppliers
Publish product availability/allocations by route to market, country and customer
Provide input to logistics volumes forecasts
Participates in X-functional inventory reviews, attains EMEA inventory targets.
Responsible to maintain lead time quotes for the on-line and reseller web stores
Set safety stock levels to hit order cycle time and in-stock goals for direct channels and provide root cause analysis to missed quotes.
Delivers reporting requirements like weekly availability, allocations, projected billings and logistics volumes
Works closely with Sales, Sales Operations and WW planning to balance supply and demand.
Works closely with Order Management and Logistics on execution of supply plans
Develops and maintains an excellent network with other departments
Provide decision support information to all levels in the organization.
Requires extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Requires knowledge of the SAP execution system.
Back up tasks for other planners within planning team.
Skills & Attributes of the Demand Planner:
Solution oriented analytical planning skills
Great work ethic, perseverance and flexibility.
Organised and able to react to the challenges of a fast moving environment
Great communication skills, both written and verbal
The ability to deliver quality work to tight deadlines
Experience & Education required for the role of Demand Planner:
Masters/Bachelors degree ideally, however applicants with very relevant experience in this area will also be considered.
At least 3-5 years experience in a similar role
Logistics knowledge at an APICS level would be an advantage
Experience in Purchasing and Procurement preferred
General business knowledge
SAP knowledge.
