Our Client with manufacturing operations in Ireland, the US and the Czech Republic is a leading supplier of innovative plastic products to world class customers in the healthcare, automotive and industrial sectors.
Our Client now wishes to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer to lead continuous improvement activity in its Healthcare Division.
ESSENTIAL
A proven track record in continuous improvement within the medical device/healthcare industry.
Previous experience in operations, project management or engineering within the plastics industry will be advantageous. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years relevant experience and a degree in a relevant Engineering or Science discipline.
The position requires an Engineer with leadership, innovation & problem solving skills.
THE POSITION
Reporting to Group Manufacturing Engineering Manager, the Candidate will lead a step change improvement in manufacturing processes and systems.
DUTIES
Key Responsibilities will include
- Providing technical leadership on product and process issues
- Driving continuous improvement activities using Statistical Engineering techniques, design of experiments etc.
- Introducing manufacturing practices and procedures which comply with ISO 13485
- Use of scientific problem solving techniques to maximise equipment efficiency and effectiveness
- Introducing new products with emphasis on process reliability and validation
