In Ireland, this Company is a leading provider of sales, marketing, distribution solutions and other services to the healthcare sector in Ireland. Established in 1829, it has a remarkable heritage of service in this sector. The company has annual sales in excess of €120m and employs almost 300 people.

The business provides a broad range of products (IV pharmaceuticals, medical, surgical and laboratory) and value added services (pharmaceutical compounding, community equipment services - asset tracking, decontamination and recycling, home adaptation).


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
The main purpose of this role is to sell and support the use of Medical products within a highly competitive market. The main customers are Acute and Primary Care staff, i.e. Urology Nurse Specialists, Continence Advisors and District Nurses, including Pharmacy in both the hospital and community settings.


Duties and responsibilities:
• Establishing effective personal relationships with a range of senior health professionals (Urology Nurse Specialists and Continence Advisors).
• Territory planning and scheduling appointments to maximise your working day.
• Achieving revenue and targets as per budget plan.
• Creating and raising awareness of this Company as a leader in the sale of Medical products.
• Providing accurate reporting of relevant internal and external market information that may impact on the business.
• Administration, e.g. weekly/monthly reports, inventory, expenses etc.
• Representing Company at national & international conferences, exhibitions & training events.


Qualifications and Experience:
• Third Level qualification (Degree or equivalent Nursing qualification).
• A minimum of two years sales experience in the healthcare industry.


Additional criteria:
• High level of comfort in using clinical information to build effective business proposals.
• Show flexibility, flair and the ability to develop & maintain good working relationships with colleagues from a range of disciplines and backgrounds.
• Effective verbal & written communication skills.
• The ability to apply knowledge and experience to maximise effectiveness in your territory.


Other information:
The successful candidate should preferably be based in Belfast.
• Full time, permanent contract.

• Excellent remuneration package is available commensurate with experience (including bonus, company car, laptop, mobile phone).
