The Role
- Conducts research and analysis to support workforce planning decision-making in areas such as forecasting and workforce analytics using traditional and advanced methods.
- Develops market, business and financial modeling for talent forecasting.
- Conceptualizes immediate and long-range needs of the client with respect to project mission. Must understand business objectives as they relate to project goals.
- Translates the clients needs into a comprehensive project plan which ensures successful implementation of Workforce Planning.
- Works independently and with business managers to understand, define and document the overarching business impacts to workforce planning and applies qualitative and quantitative techniques to interpret data and produce substantiated recommendations.
- Creates and deploys standardized reports and applications on performance (SLAs and KPIs), including the formulation of strategic workforce plans.
- Negotiates Workforce Planning objectives and direction with management within all lines of business.
- Seek support and assistance from corporate groups such as Information Systems, Corporate Research , Human Resources, Legal and others.
- Prepares periodic written reports for Senior Managers regarding project status and keeps Senior Managers informed of project direction as necessary.
- Makes presentations regarding project direction and recommendations to Senior Managers.
- Develops documentation and support materials for talent and workforce planning tools. Keeps abreast of the availability and application of new tools and processes.
- Responsibility for production and process of workforce planning reporting and analysis services for regions/LOB.
- Advise local and sr. leaders on operations, determine performance objectives/metrics and define tools to measure progress and ensures consistent achievement of business objective
The Candidate:
- BA in business or related field - advanced degree a plus
- 3+ year of experience in workforce management, including utilization of workforce management tools and processes
- Statistical, market, business or financial modeling (2 years)
- Ability to develop databases and extremely comfortable with advanced programs (Excel, Access, Business objects, PowerPoint, and SPSS/SAS)
- Ability to perform statistical and mathematical modeling
- Advanced computer technical abilities
- Strong, independent decision-making ability and negotiation skills
- Ability to master multiple priorities
- Knowledge and application of change management
- Aggressive process and project management ability
- Strong PC skills, experience in development and delivery of technical reports within Excel and Access essential.
- Experience preparing and presenting reports, forecasts, trends and recommendations to the team and senior management
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
