Job Title: Purchasing Analyst

Position Summary:

My client is looking to recruit a Purchasing Analyst, to report directly to the Procurement Manager.

You will have an advanced understanding of SAP MRP and exposure to other purchasing software. You will have a strong appreciation of the mechanics and indeed technical aspect of the buyer function. Your will analyse, audit and appraise different aspects of the Purchasing Department, with the purpose of streamlining processes and creating greater efficiencies.

Through you're on the job research you will look at improving current work practises and developing new methods of achieving deliverables.

You will also act as a tutor or advisor to more junior members of staff.

Work is performed in a fast paced changing multi-cultural global environment. Successful candidate will demonstrate high energy, self-motivation, and initiative to achieve goals.

You will also be expected to provide general operational support to the Procurement Department as needs arise.

Responsibilities:

· Various Project Management Duties

· Analyse training needs and needs.

· Data Analysis and investigations

· Develop and streamline current processes and enhance the utilisation of various business tools.

· Liaise with planning and production regarding builds

· Pricing/cost management on SAP

· Maintaining excellent supplier relationships

· Supporting New product Introduction builds

· Identifying & driving process improvement activities within Purchasing, supply-chain and supporting any site initiatives

· Supporting and in some cases leading commodity & supplier management activities

· Assist in employee development and training.

· Supporting purchasing team as required in achieving supply-chain metrics/goals

Requirements

• An advanced understanding of the SAP system and other Purchasing Systems.


• Strong level of competence in the use of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint


• Excellent Communication skills both written and verbal.


• An advanced understanding of Supply Chain role.


• Good understanding of the Purchasing Role within the Manufacturing Operation.


• Proven ability to us own initiative to solve complex issues with multiple cross-functional partners.


• Experience in a similar role.
