General Ledger Domain Manager-Brno Czech Republic


Requirements:



  • Master degree (Economics, Business, Finance & Accounting)

  • ACCA/ CPA certificate

  • 5 - 7 years working experience in General Ledger

  • Team leading experience

  • Experience in BPO environment

  • English at a fluent level

  • Excellent user PC skills with knowledge of Finance & Accounting applications

  • Analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills with strong problem solving abilities

  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as within a team

  • Flexibility and motivation

  • Able to work in an international environment

  • Ability to learn quickly

  • Open to new cultures and habits

  • Understanding of the client's business and its implications

  • Ability to work under stress and handle difficult people

  • Ability to work with limited supervision

  • Ability to accept direction from multiple sources

  • Hands on Manager with Good Excel skills.

  • Must be a good team man and should be able to motivate the team in difficult situations.

  • Should be able to train the team members as and when required.

General Ledger Major Activities/Responsibilities:


· Supervise General Ledger (GL) process to accomplish the proper recording and reporting on a timely manner


· Co-ordinate the month-end close and year-end close by ensuring the completion of timely account reconciliation and inter-company accounting transactions and balancing


· Co-ordinate audit sessions with the Country Controllers/Finance teams and communicate output of the meetings to the management


· Maintain close leadership with the field accounting teams to ensure timely and reliable GL compliant with US GAAP and local GAAP


· Review and analyze the Balance sheets evolution on a monthly base to ensure proper reporting of assets and liabilities


· Update the processes in order to comply with the frequent adjustments of the local and international laws with regards to VAT, Corporate Tax, Accounting & Trade legislations, Mergers and Acquisitions


· Participate in the design, implementation and continuous improvements of Shared Service processes to maximize customer satisfaction and EBIT


· Participate in the development and implementation of necessary data processing systems and revisions


· Effectively supervise a team of transactional processors involved in the Shared Service Center's activities


· Provide strong leadership supporting a team environment within the Shared Service Center's combined effort


· Participate in the selection of talented individuals, ensure proper training, monitor performance, and provide feedback to achieve continuous staff member development
