Commercial Controller - USA

Our client is a leading international FMCG plc with operations across the globe. Recent years has delivered significant growth to the group and as a result the company is seeking to strengthen its North American senior management team.

Job Description:

Due to reorganisation a vacancy has arisen for a Commercial Controller over one the largest divisions of the North American Group. Reporting into the VP of Finance the Commercial Controller is a key person in the management of profitability through the control of Gross Margin targets, which are set at Customer and Product level.

Roles / Responsibilities:

The Commercial Controller's role is to support the various go to market strategies with financial information that underpins decision making, performance measurement, risk management, and strategic planning.

Responsibilities include:

• Decision making support around costing and pricing, profitability analysis, strategic project analysis
  
• Performance measurement and improvement
  
• Effective communication and relationship building with operations, sales, R&D and Finance
  
• Risk Management including commodity pricing management
  
• Management of 2 direct reports and 5 indirect reports

Skills / Experience:

• Must have commercial exposure ideally in an FMCG environment
  
• Must have significant financial experience - multinational exposure is preferable

Education / Professional Qualifications:

• Degree holder
  
• Qualified Accountant with between 5 - 10 years PQE
