My client a leading Pharmaceutical Company with offices based in Cork is currently seeking a Senior Buyer for a Temporary contract with a possible view to permanency.


The ideal candidates will posses the following;

• Experience in Capital Procurement is essential.


• Third level qualification desirable along with minimum of 5 years experience in a Buying &/or purchasing environment.


• Excellent negotiation skills.


• Good communication skills both verbal & written.

Responsibilities:

• Project Management of Improvement Strategies


• Core focus of the role will be Capital buying.


• Negotiation of Contracts and Equipment purchases


• Implementation of Contract Agreements


• Identify and implement category replenishment systems


• Global / EU strategic sourcing initiatives in the evaluation of alternative supply sources as required.


• Prequalification and supplier evaluation


• Maintain optimum inventory levels in support of production
