Financial Controller

Our client is a key manufacturing subsidiary of a large European based FMCG conglomerate.

Job Description:

Our client requires an experienced Financial Controller to join its head office located in Cork. The purpose of this role will be full responsibility for the financial department and cost accounting in line with corporate financial policies.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with the drive and determination to join a leading multinational group. Ideal candidates must have a strong FMCG manufacturing background and at least 5 yrs experience at senior level finance with a proven track record in the management of a financial team of up to 2 accountancy professionals.

Roles / Responsibilities:

• Hands on management of the Finance Team with up to 2 direct reports at any one time.
  
• Responsible for the Financial Control of the group through accurate reporting; design and implementation of systems and procedures.
  
• Develop and presents annual plans, budgets and economic analysis.
  
• Presents financial information to business and leadership teams.
  
• Establish and maintain cost systems.
  
• Liaison with additional group finance teams within Ireland to ensure statutory accounting requirements is met. Ensuring all balance sheet accounts are reviewed and reconciled.
  
• Developing and coaching current finance team.
  
• Ad hoc finance projects with additional locations across Ireland.

Skills / Experience:

• SAP knowledge/experience a distinct advantage.
  
• Proven ability to lead a team.
  
• FMCG - Manufacturing experience essential for this Senior Finance role.
  
• At least 3 years experience at a Financial Controller ? Financial Management.
