Operations Accountant with SAP

A vacancy exists for an Operations Accountant within the Operations Finance Department. This is a 12 month contract position reporting to the Operations Accounting Manager, to support an ongoing SAP Implementation project, covering Costing, Operations Finance, Fixed Assets and G/L..
The main areas of responsibility include:
Local Operations
Ø Support local Operations and provide costing support to Process Excellence initiatives through calculation and analysis of cost savings and reporting of same
Ø Involvement in annual budget cycle and midyear updates
Ø Support implementation of SAP upgrade project from local to global system
Ø Support annual Standard Cost calculation and new product introductions.
Ø Support actual and budget reporting cycles for site.
Ø Forecasting and reporting of Production volume and Inventory value / days
Ø General Ledger reconciliation's and associated accruals / postings
Ø Co-ordinator of all asset capitalisation and tagging
Ø Fixed Asset reconciliation and accounting for asset disposals
Ø Month-end costing reconciliation and variance analysis
Sarbanes Oxley
Ø Responsible for Sarbanes Oxley documentation and controls in the above areas
Ø Prepare for and support upcoming internal and external audits
Other
Ø Key user for SAP system to support manufacturing process and to provide support to SAP Upgrade project.
Ø Support other projects and areas of the business as required

Essential Criteria
Ø A recognised professional accountancy qualification (A.C.A / A.C.C.A / CIMA etc)
Ø Minimum of 4 years post qualification experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment working in a similar inventory / cost accounting role.
Ø Experience in SAP and systems implementation projects is highly desirable.
