Finance Systems Manager

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Oversee implementation of the Oracle Financial System
• Oracle Financials super-user and system administrator
• Identify, manage and co-ordinate Oracle Financial training requirements for all members of the global finance team
• Principal point of contact and communication between global finance team and ICT; global finance team and third-party systems consultants/technicians
• Continuous development and improvement of Oracle Financials functionality, ensuring that the system is up to date with both Oracle and organizational developments
• Define, document and manage Oracle Financials best practice within the organisation
• Analyses system development needs and prioritises development activity
• Determines project requirements and decides project plan and scope elements
• Decides the access and approval rights to be allocated to a given user
• Decides on appropriate system functionality levels and internal best practice
• Prioritises system and strategic development activity
• Prioritises responses to user queries
Competencies:
• Proven experience in managing finance systems
• Proven knowledge and experience of technical accounting and finance practices
• Demonstrable track record as an Oracle Financials system administrator and/or super-user, having primary responsibility for an Oracle Financials system
• Proven experience working as part of an Oracle Financials project team (e.g. systems implementation, transition, module introduction or systems improvement project)
• Very good communication skills
• Excellent time-management and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
• Accountancy qualification an advantage
