                                                      Manufacturing Engineer – Cork


An experienced Manufacturing Engineer is required for a leading Medical Devices manufacturer loacted in Co.Cork.You will act as a member of the Engineering team. Provide product support in the manufacturing environment Introduce new products to the company.Lead in project process improvements in order to reduce manufacturing cost.

The Role:
To oversee Manufacturing Process improvements ; scrap & re-work reduction, productivity improvement and cost reduction
Developing and set up of new product and process introduction within manufacturing cells, which may include set up of first off of new/ complex products.
Provide Training and Work instructions for production operators and inspectors.
Participate in custom tooling, forging, fixture and special gauge design and purchasing where necessary.
Project planning and management.
Responsible for consumable selection and trials.
Develop manufacturing process instructions and inspection specifications.
Carry out the validation of processes and products.
Provide support to product manufacture and quality control within manufacturing cells.
Engage in CNC program creation of 1^st offs, program evaluation and management.
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements; ISO & FDA
Liaise as appropriate with external parties in France, US and elsewhere.
Provide written reports and recommendations for review by senior management.

Requirements:
Graduate caliber with an Engineering degree.
Minimum of 2- 3 years experience
Experience of working with precision engineering.
Experience in Process and product introduction and development.
Proven problem solving and hands on approach.
A confident self-starter with the ability to work on their own initiative or as part of a team.
Experience in Project management
Excellent organization, relationship building and influencing skills.
