Logistics Operations Manager

Job Description

A senior opportunity for a Logistics Operations Manager who will be responsible for the Distribution Centre operations across 5 sites in the EMEA has now become available.

Roles/Responsibilities

• Responsibility for the commercial and operational management of Logistics partners in the EMEA region, ensuring that agreed service levels and cost targets are met.
  
• Management and responsibility for inventory and vendor consigned stock held in the various sites.
  
• Ensure quarterly, monthly, weekly and daily performance reviews are in place for all sites supported by management and operational reporting.
  
• Hold thorough reviews in advance of every new product introduction (NPI) and Quarter End close to ensure sufficient receiving, storage, pick and pack capacity is in place.
  
• Develop contingency plans to support business in case of performance issues.
  
• Manage teams in multiple countries responsible for the supplier performance, inventory control and commercial aspects.
  
• Contribute to the wider operations organisation by being a key influencer in general planning and execution

Skills/Experience

• Intending candidates should have at least 5 years experience in a senior Logistics role.
  
• You should be an experienced and effective people-manager and have previous experience of managing teams remotely.
  
• A large degree of commercial focus is absolutely essential as this requires the management of a operations budget in excess of ?25m.
  
• Candidates must be able to display natural leadership skills and be highly effective communicators.

Education / Professional Qualifications

• A third level qualification in Business, with a focus on Logistics or Supply Chain is required.
