Financial Accountant with Fluent Japanese Letterkenny Co Donegal

Brief Overview:

Preparation of financial reports to relevant accounting standards and analysis of business performance. Support the Financial Controller in maintaining processes & procedures to support the organisations business & control requirements.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Manage the key month end activities including invoicing & payroll to ensure they are correctly recorded in the general ledger.
Ensure ledger entries are recorded in line with local & US GAAP standards and are reconciled in a timely manner
Support the financial controller in preparation of financial statements for both management & statutory purposes
maintain appropriate policies & procedures to ensure good business practice & appropriate financial controls are in place.
Analyse data & report findings to the Financial Controller so as to highlight business issues & recommend actions as necessary
Assist in ad-hoc projects as required


KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
Technical Knowledge & Skills

Must be a fluent Japanese speaker
Knowledge of IFRS
Analytical Skills / Numeracy / attention to detail / Reconciliation skills
Computer literate
Self-starter capable of working on own initiative

Knowledge of US GAAP
Oracle Financials
ACCA/ACA/CIMA Qualified

Can work full time in Ireland without restrictions
