Role: Our client a strong business involved in the freight industry, requires a finance manager for their business.
Reporting to the MD, the successful candidate will be responsible for the smooth running of the finance function and also rpoviding the MD with commercial advice



Responsibilities:

· Ownership of the finance function within the company.

· Full costing and advisory responsibilities on current and upcoming projects.

· Preparation of yearly budgets and review of same on a project by project basis.

· Monthly forecasting and providing recommendations to company directors.

· Variance analysis between actual v forecast.

· Preparation of audit files.

· Process and systems improvement.

· Substantial contribution to business planning and operational change.

Skills Required:

· Ambitious, Commercial Qualified Accountant

· 2 -3 years industry experience required, freight business experience an advantage
