full time ENERGY ENGINEER

Manpower Cork are currently recruting for an Energy Engineer on behalf of our client, a Cork-based firm.


Main purpose of job: To provide energy engineering, auditing & training services to target clients with a main focus on reducing the energy consumption of their operations. The main areas of energy related technologies are currently: Steam systems, refrigeration and cooling, heat transfer, pumping and HVAC. The Energy Engineer is expected to provide energy services for each client project to ensure an effective result for both the client and the business.




Main duties & responsibilities:
· Responsible for carrying out Energy Audits including identification of opportunities, measurement, analysis, reporting and training.


· Providing engineering support to other energy engineers.


· Liaison with client personnel on technical issues.


· Design of engineering solutions to client energy opportunities.


· Project management of feasible energy opportunities. These can be engineering projects or management systems


· Use of computer systems as required for work scheduling and reporting.


· Maintain an awareness of current trends in energy conservation techniques and technologies.


· Leading project teams of energy engineers including communication and motivation.


· Scheduling the work of the project team members where required to include monitoring or overseeing hours going into a job to ensure jobs come in on budget.


· Collaborating with engineers and any alliance partners on combined projects.


· Provide regular progress reports to the Energy Services Manager, detailing progress against stated objectives & priorities and any factors preventing current and future business growth.


· Any other task or project as assigned by the Energy Services Manager.



Administration
· Completion of quotations for new jobs and forwarding to administration department for issue to client.

Degree of Supervision
· Work under the supervision of the senior energy engineers & general management. Degree of supervision will depend on operational requirements and experience.



Contacts
· Liaise with management team members, senior energy engineers and technicians.


· Suppliers and subcontractors


· Clients and potential clients


· Relevant external agencies such as SEI, EPA, etc.



Working Conditions
· Both office and site based
