VAT Analyst

Job Description

Our client is seeking a VAT analyst to join their team. This is a contract role that would suit a part qualified or qualified accountant that has 3-5 years accounting experience.

Roles/Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance VAT legislation for all business activities
  
• Prepare and submit VAT returns
  
• VAT audits
  
• Preparation of VAT Registration applications
  
• Work with billing team and support their activities
  
• Standardise VAT and other compliance returns
  
• Be a support for the Financial Reporting Activities
  
• Month end activities
  
• Control Self Assessment Audit

Skills/Experience

• 3 to 5 years relevant experience
  
• Worked in a multinational environment
  
• Have knowledge of Irish/European GAAP
  
• Strong technical skills: Excel, SAP is a must

Education / Professional Qualifications

• Qualified/Part-Qualified Accountant

Personal Attributes

• Ability to work on own initiative
  
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
  
• Good analytical skills
