HR MANAGER - 9 month contract - Cork

The main duties and responsibilities for this role are as follows:


Recruitment & Selection



  • Manage the sourcing, selection and placement of employees at all levels in the organisation

  • Manage the headcount planning process in line with required company & legal guidelines


Employee Relations & Performance Management


· Provide support and advice on employee relations matters to all employees.


· Pro-active management of employee relations in line with legislative requirements and credo values


· Responsibility for maintenance of cross-site consistency of approach


· Coordination of insurance related documentation in line with policy and legal requirements.


· Responsibility for monitoring and reviewing constructive feedbacks, performance improvement plans & disciplinary actions for the organisation ensuring appropriate actions are taken in relation to performance, absence and expected employee behaviours.


· Responsibility for ensuring the performance appraisal process is adhered to throughout the organisation.



Compensation & Benefits (Total Reward)


· Manage competitive salary & benefits strategies in line with company pay policy & timelines



  • Responsibility for ensuring compensation & benefit activities (pay, bonus, pension, share scheme, relocations etc) are delivered by the team on time and that information is accurate.


Policy Creation and Implementation


· Ensure Best Practice Standards - Propose/Implement any necessary amendments/additions in line with Country policy harmonisation.

Finance


· Support Development and Adherence to Annual Business Plan



Communications


· Support Full Suite of Communication Channels




Culture Development


· Drive & support credo based culture within the entire company in the attainment of a high performing culture, through review & implementation of credo action plans


· Support business transformation cultural change programmes.


· Comply with all Standards of Behaviour as developed and rolled out to all employees.



Project Management


· Lead or support business related projects where requested to drive the HR & business strategies forward.


· Global HR Transformation:


o Attend project meetings


o Complete GHRT actions in a timely manner.


o Work with colleagues in specialist groups & Convergys to ensure competent HR delivery model is in place pre and post go live.


Health & Safety


· Ensure that all health & safety requirements are fulfilled in accordance with the responsibilities defined in the Company Safety Statement.


· To actively promote health & safety within the department and ensure Health & Safety is a goal for all Human Resources Personnel.


· To actively promote environmental issues within the plant and ensure environmental issues are a goal for all Human Resources Personnel.



Quality


· To ensure responsibilities under the Quality System as defined in the Quality Manual are met.



General


o Develop & lead HR Team Members to maximise their full potential & provide leadership role to all other HR team members


o Deputise for Human Resources Director as required


o Represent the company at a National Level


o Familiarise yourself with & support the learning & development activities within the team in the creation of a learning culture.

To be considered for this position you must have the following:


Must hold a degree and ideally a Masters in HR.


Must have a CIPD qualification.


Must have a min of 5yrs experience at a senior managment level within HR.


Must have worked in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
