Senior Reconciliations Specialist (Contract position) (Providing daily reconciliations of complex portfolios to external clients )

Job Description

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

Deliver daily cash, positions and market value reconciliations on a group of complex funds

Central contact point for all reconciliation issues relating to the funds

Working towards creating a team of excellence for Bank Debt and other complex Fixed Income securities

Assisting our foreign office where necessary in the calculation of net asset valuations of the funds

Ensuring all reconciliations are accurate and the accountings records are up to date

Dealing with investors, promoters, investment advisers and legal representatives on any issues affecting the portfolio of funds

Liaising with auditors in relation to reconciliation items at year end

Using (Advent Geneva) and any other relevant system

Performing any such additional duties which may be assigned to you from time to time

Minimum Requirements (Basic Qualifications)

Skills/Experience

Personal Attributes

At least 3.5 / 4 years experience working in a similar hedge fund administration company or accounting role.

Extensive experience with complex instruments (such as Bank Debt, Credit Default Swaps, Asset Backed Securities)

Degree qualified in an appropriate discipline

Strong mathematical skills

Pro-active with the ability to operate effectively with limited supervision

Strong client relationship skills

Strong administration and organizational skills

Ability to provide training to new members of the team

Strong IT skills (ability to learn new applications)
