full time Audit Senior Manager - Asset Management

The Dublin Financial Services practice consists of 337 professionals, including 242 professionals dedicated to audit and the majority of these professionals are dedicated to the asset management industry. The Dublin practice is a leading provider of assurance services to asset management companies, including regulated mutual funds, offshore funds, hedge funds, private equity funds, fund of funds, as well as investment managers and administrators.


Their audit approach focuses on the identification and testing of the client's internal controls, including information technology controls at the administrator and the investment manager level.

Client Responsibilities:


  • Manage a large portfolio of asset management audit clients and deliver the audit opinion within the client deadline.
  • Identify areas of risk within clients' businesses, define the appropriate audit approach, know when to consult / refer upwards and apply judgment by effective risk appraisal of all work targeted and undertaken.
  • Ensure compliance with internal (methodology and risk management) and external (regulatory) requirement.
  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of current auditing techniques.
  • Manage and develop multiple client relationships, using in-depth knowledge of the client to anticipate and address complex issues.
  • Establish a strong network and be regarded as having a strong impact and personally credible.
  • Focus on business development by developing existing clients, targeting new clients and converting opportunities to sell work.

  • Candidates must have a proven track record of outstanding performance & display a high level of people and business skills within the Financial Services industry.


    Background & Experience:

    Candidates should be:



    • Qualified Accountant - ACA, ACCA, CPA qualified
    • 4+ years relevant management experience
    • Excellent financial services experience, ideally focused on the hedge fund industry. However extensive experience of mutual funds / banking industry may suffice.
    • IFRS experience essential. Ideally experience of US Gaap and the AICPA guide to Investment Companies also.
    • Fluent English speaker with the highest level of written and oral communications skills.
    • Thorough knowledge of audit methodology and techniques.
    • Proven track record with developing and maintaining multiple strong client relationships.
    • A dedication to teamwork and leadership
