Cost Accountant - Contract

Job Description
They currently have a vacancy for an experienced cost Accountant to join their business. This position will be an initial 9 month contract and will require a candidate who is highly experienced in inventory accounting.
Roles/Responsibilities
The main duties of this cost accountant role will include:
- Designing and implementing the cost accounting system and processes
- Ensure all inventory and standard costing controls are implemented and adhered to.
- Develop and implement inventory financial and operational controls.
- Develop operational reporting tools
- Be the point of contact and cost accounting expert for both the implementation team and the auditors.
Skills/Experience
To be considered for this role you must have
- an extensive background in mangement / cost accounting.
- be highly experienced in inventory accounting & contols
- have had prior exposure to SOX and be familiar with compliance issues.
- Preferably worked in a multi-national manufacturing facility
Education / Professional Qualifications
- Qualified Accountant with 3/5 years post qualified experience.
