full time Commercial Lending Manager

Brief Description of Role:


Management of a portfolio of commercial client accounts, with an emphasis on managing risk and maximising the value of the existing portfolio.



Responsibilities:



· Preparation of credit reports for presentation to credit committee and board.



  • Management of assigned portfolio from the commercial loan book
  • Early identification of accounts experiencing difficulties with proactive arrears management of assigned portfolio

· In conjunction with clients, formulating repayment strategies/loan restructures/work-out arrangements for problem cases and follow through to ensure successful implementation of same



  • Assisting the Commercial Banking Manager to ensure loan book is reviewed on a regular basis and that grade profile is actively managed, with all loan reviews kept up to date for assigned portfolio
  • Assessment of loans and loan re-structures, including thorough research of all credit proposals and presentation of these credits to credit committee in a manner which is clear, concise and addresses the risk issues concerned
  • Compliance with internal operating procedures to maintain asset quality
  • Support Commercial Banking Manager in coaching and motivating team members



Knowledge, Skills and Requirements


· Minimum 5 years + experience in Commercial Banking.


· Business Degree and / or professional qualification an advantage.


· Ability to work within a team.


· An understanding of the residential and commercial property markets in Ireland


· High level of interpersonal & communication skills necessary.


· High level of attention to detail.


· Knowledge of related regulatory, legislative and auditing standards.


· Willingness and ability to handle responsibility and to work on own initiative.


· Computer Literate
