Job Description
The Trustee Corporation team is responsible for setting up a trustee corporation to oversee the scheme which has excellent standards of governance, and for managing a smooth and successful handover. This team engages with all other strands to assure the planned interface between suppliers (e.g. third party administrators) and the trustee enables the trustee to manage those relationships in the best interests of members.
Roles/Responsibilities
The Trustee specialist will work towards the implementation of the Trustee Corporation to help ensure that it will have in place exceptionally high standards of governance from the outset.
Role deliverables
Specify all deliverables that will be required by the Trustee Corporation and create or commission a governance toolkit in respect of the following key areas:
Money flows and financial
Requirements specification for procurement
Corporate Strategy and Governance
Contribute to recommendations
Skills/Experience
A pensions professional with in-depth experience of trustee governance, from a practical viewpoint and, ideally, also from a strategic one. The candidate will have worked directly with trustees and will be familiar with the requirements for running a large defined contribution pension scheme.
Extensive experience gained as a pensions manager or assistant pensions manager in a
large in-house pensions scheme, or an experienced and highly technical pensions
consultant from an employee benefits consultancy.
