Costing Technician

Job Description
- As costing technician you will be responsible for the preparation, release and maintenance of product standard costs and related master data.
Roles/Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates for new product launches and communicate to divisions on an accurate and timely basis
- Ensure there is an accurate standard cost for all products received & products manufactured and sold
- Participate in the management and resolution of costing issues or queries as they arise on a day to day basis across various divisions and regions
- Develop and document costing processes and proceedures in collaboration with R&D, Product Commercialisation, Plant teams and Divisions to ensure they are aligned with business needs
- Participate in ad-hoc finance projects and work as required
Skills/Experience
As costing technician you will be required to have the following skills and experience
- Strong Analytical skills
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Good communication skills
- Expeience of Standard Costing in a Manufacturing environment
- Good computer systems skills, Excel, SAP etc
- Team player
- Attention to detail
- Ability to perform well under tight deadlines
Education / Professional Qualifications
- Qualified Accountant or at final stage of professional accoutancy exams.
- The successful candidate will also have 2+ years experience working as part of the Finance team within a multi-national company.
