Costing Technician

Job Description

• As costing technician you will be responsible for the preparation, release and maintenance of product standard costs and related master data.

Roles/Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates for new product launches and communicate to divisions on an accurate and timely basis
  
• Ensure there is an accurate standard cost for all products received & products manufactured and sold
  
• Participate in the management and resolution of costing issues or queries as they arise on a day to day basis across various divisions and regions
  
• Develop and document costing processes and proceedures in collaboration with R&D, Product Commercialisation, Plant teams and Divisions to ensure they are aligned with business needs
  
• Participate in ad-hoc finance projects and work as required

As costing technician you will be required to have the following skills and experience

• Good communication skills
  
• Expeience of Standard Costing in a Manufacturing environment
  
• Good computer systems skills, Excel, SAP etc
  
• Team player
  
• Attention to detail
  
• Ability to perform well under tight deadlines

Education / Professional Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant or at final stage of professional accoutancy exams.
  
• The successful candidate will also have 2+ years experience working as part of the Finance team within a multi-national company.
