International Tax Specialist

Our client is a leading Cork based multinational with significant and lengthy ties to the Munster area.
Job Description:
This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic tax team dealing with challenging and varied international tax matters. This is a key role, reporting to the International Tax Director for EMEA, which encompasses the supervision of tax compliance, tax payments and tax accounting responsibilities within EMEA. It will also involve assisting with tax audits, M&As and or/joint ventures and complex tax planning.
Roles / Responsibilities:
- Quarterly income tax accounting (provision and FAS 109) - EMEA.
- Ensuring that the US MNC meets all of its tax filing deadlines and that all filings are accurate and correctly reflect tax planning initiatives in EMEA.
- Identifying tax planning opportunities which the US MNC may avail of as part of the tax return review process.
- Ensuring that all corporate international tax payments and made in a timely and accurate manner in EMEA.
- Ensuring that international tax matters are in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley.
- Assisting with tax due diligence, tax planning and post integration international tax work with regard to M&As and/or joint ventures.
- Assisting with international tax audits.
- Assisting with identifying and implementing tax planning opportunities in EMEA.
- Assisting with determining the impact of tax legislation on the company.
Skills / Experience:
- Minimum of 6 years' corporate tax experience.
- Accounting/Finance third level degree required, together with an accounting and tax qualification (or Masters equivalent).
- Strong business communication skills.
- Extensive experience in managing multiple projects (highly organised and disciplined).
- Specifically, must be able to develop plans that include tasks, responsibility assignments and due dates.
- Must be willing to travel.
- Strong interpersonal skills are essential
