An experienced Support Engineer is required for a leading IT company in the Cork area.Immediate interviews for suitable candidates.

The Role:
• Work as part of a team to provide 7 x 24 support for all of our products to our Customers, Partners and employees.
• Respond to customer requests within our Service Level Agreement.
• Responsible for assigned trouble tickets.
• Responsible for answering the Support assistance line.
• Following the Technical Support call procedures.
• Responsible for logging email support requests.
• Providing timely updates to customer issues.
• Problem replication of reported issues.
• Advising on existing customer architectures.
• Identify / Confirm possible software defects and log software enhancements.
• Making customer site visits.
• Work with a minimum of supervision.

Requirements:
• Deep technical aptitude and ability to communicate effectively with both technical customer as well as business oriented customers .
• Ability to diagnose technical problems.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent communicator in one-on-one or group presentations.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Must be able to work well under pressure.
• Knowledge of network management products and markets.
• Advanced level knowledge of Sun Solaris
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows
• Base knowledge of industry leading 3rd party applications that integrates with the Netcool Suite.
• Knowledge of Java
• Knowledge of at least one scripting language e.g. Perl
