Engineering Manager (Pharma)

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical expertise with regards to operation and maintenance of equipment and systems.
  
• Facilitate the engineering maintenance team in providing technical support for the completion of continuous improvement, technology transfer, RFT, capital and other projects in the business unit.
  
• Implement project and automation upgrades.
  
• Maintain engineering inventory of spare parts.
  
• Participate in cross functional teams to ensure that business unit and site goals are achieved.
  
• Oversight of CAPAs, deviations and change control.
  
• Oversee discipline, time keeping, attendance, holidays, overtime etc.
  
• Prepare budgets and control expenditure to operating plan. Provide AS reports as required.

  Develop cost saving projects in Business unit and support site wide initiatives.

Education/Qualifications:

Ideal Candidate:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 10 years experience in a similar position in the Pharmaceutical or Process industry.
  
• The position also requires an ability to respond to changing priorities with good problem solving and communication skills.
