full time Accounts Payable Manager

Our client a large Insurance Firm currently has a requirement for and Accounts Payable Manager. This is an excellent opportunity and would be most suited to someone who has prior experience in the Insurance or financial services area.

Job purpose:
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that invoice processing, payments and supplier relationships are managed accurately and within appropriate timelines. This person should also have a strong professional influence on the speed and efficiency of the Finance Department as a whole.


The Accounts Payable Manager will work closely with all other members of the Finance Department


Some Responsibilities of position included:
Process invoices, raising queries where required and identifying any potential points of risk / advantage
Develop positive relationships with suppliers and maintain open channels of communication to ensure continued smooth work-flow
Check bank balances daily to monitor cash movements
Manage day-to-day queries with the banks regarding payments and electronic banking requirements
Setting up merchant services (Interface between client - IT - bank)


In addition:
You are required to adhere at all times to all and any regulatory requirements that may apply
In the course of your duties, you are required to always consider the needs of the customer and how best you can serve them
You must adhere to all internal policies and procedures

Desirable:
Experience in Liberty software
Fluency in other Languages
