full time Finance Manager

Role: Our client a leading global organisation and an employer of choice in Cork seeks a Finance Manager to lead their Cork finance team.
Reporting to the Director of Operations, this is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and ambitious leader



Responsibilities:


People Management



· Responsible for up to 7 direct reports.


· Responsible for providing direction and support to the Cork Finance team members on a day-to-day basis.



Value Stream Accounting


· Maintain an aggressive manufacturing cost reporting system.


· Assist in the implementation of Lean & value stream Accounting.


· Coordinate cut-off procedure to achieve accurate month end reporting.




Other



· Ensure all accounting and reporting procedures comply with SOX and internal control guidelines


· Implement system enhancements in the Manufacturing Accounting and Inventory areas. Validation of all system changes in these areas.


· Act as Finance representative on the Product Transfer / Product development teams


· Assist in the Cork Operations Annual Business Planning cycle.


· Develop financial awareness of all members in the Business Team and ensure business partners trained to relevant finance procedures.




Skills Required:


· Relevant prior industrial experience or professional office background with one of major auditing practices.


· Experience on a computerized accounting package - ideally JD EDWARDS


· Qualified Finance Manager with 3-5 years experience within a multinational environment


· Excellent interpersonal skills, be a team player and willing to work in a flexible environment.


· Prior experience of managing people effectively, is highly desirable.
