Financial Accountant with Oracle

Responsibilities:
Reporting
- FSG Report writing (Oracle, Hyperion, GL Company).
- Understand, define and interpret financial reporting requirements and assess the degree of fit and the mapping thereof to Oracle GL application and reporting tools (Hyperion, GL Company and Oracle)
- Continually evaluate financial reporting systems and related processes to ensure optimum use.
- Participate in the implementation and roll-out of financial reporting solutions.
- Ensure that financial reporting solutions support and adhere to the financial reporting strategy.
Month End Routines
· Oracle Sub-Ledger and Third Party Systems Interface execution, exception processing and reconciliation.
Chart of Accounts
· In conjunction with the Group Finance Manager, ensure that the financial Chart of Accounts aligns to best practice and to Group policy.
· Maintain financial systems Chart of Accounts hierarchy. Ensure that Chart of Accounts hierarchies are consistent throughout - Oracle GL and financial reporting tools.
Change Management and Process/System Improvement
- Participate in group projects to ensure the development and implementation of best practice financial systems, reporting, processes, and procedures.
- Develop innovative ideas to improve financial reporting and related processes
· Relationship Management
· Oracle Sub-Ledger and Third Party Systems Interface execution, exception processing and reconciliation.
Other
- Active participation on new systems implementations that interface/interact with the Oracle E-Business Suite
- Any other duties which may be assigned from time to time.
Skills Required:
· 3 years' hands on' experience in writing and maintaining FSG's in Oracle GL module is essential
· 4 years Oracle Financials 'hands on 'experience of Oracle General ledger in a similar role in a large company is also essential
· Strong organisational and analytical capabilities
· Proven ability to multi-task and prioritise workloads appropriately
· Sound judgement, decision making and project management skills, and ability to work under pressure
