Analytical Team Leader:


The Analytical Team Leader will provide a strong degree of technical and compliance leadership within the QC Lab. Reporting to the Lab Manager, the team leader will manage a dynamic group of analytical chemists in a busy Quality Control department. The lab is providing analytical testing for finished product. The successful candidate will provide core technical support in areas of chromatography, investigations/deviations, troubleshooting, instrument calibration/qualification and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:


Leads & provides technical support within the Lab.


Co-ordinate and schedule testing and additional laboratory activities.


Data management and reporting.


Sets priorities and mediates conflicting priorities, schedules and operates lab functions, ensuring cost effective and accurate results.


Review & approval of analytical data generated in the lab.


Troubleshooting & Investigations.


Maintain lab inventory and monitor Lab budgets.


Ensures that the lab is operated in a continuous complaitn manner.


Prepares activity and/or statistical reports.


Maintain adequate instrumentation and lab facilities.


Maintain safety awareness in the lab.


Supervision of the transder of analytical methods in the lab.


Provides technical guidance. Drives quality improvements.


Selection, recruitment & training.


Establish and support a continous improvement work environment.

Experience Required:


Min 3yrs experience in a Quality Management role.


Strong knowledge of FDA/INAB Lab requirements.


Complete knowledge of analytical method validation and subsequent transfer to other sites.


Knowledge of principles, practices and theory of environmental/analytical chemistry, including emerging technologies.


Excellent communication/organisation/people management skills.


Ability to multi-task, prioritise and respond quickly to change.


Proven people management skills.


Exp in lab management which includes overseeing and directing the development, implementation and evalutation of lab services; planning short and long range goals and objectives; developing and implementing policies and procedures and ensuring compliance with lab regulations standards, policies and procedures.

Educational Requirements:


A BSc is a min requirement, a post grad qualification in Analytical Chemistry or related discipline would be a distinct advantage.
