Tender Manager

Our client is an organisation specialising in the water / waste water industry. The company has been awarded a number of key projects and has produced excellent results year-on-year. In order to continue its expansion in the Irish market, the company now wishes to appoint a Tender Manager / Bid Manager.
As Tender Manager you will report directly to the Managing Director. You will be responsible for driving the business development function of the company through a structured approach. You will prospect, track and secure new projects in the public market sector, covering a broad range of projects and contract types including, PPP/PFI, Pre-Qual/Tender, Pre-Qual/Bid, Design, Finance, Operate etc.
Responsibilities:
- To identify, appraise and apply for suitable municipal water and waste water treatment projects
- In conjunction with the Board put in place a structured business development function capable of delivering on the company's ambitious plans.
- To be a key member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) and to work within this team to devise and implement a Business Development Plan strategy.
- Undertake structured, planned and sustained sales activity throughout the year in order to achieve agreed sales revenue and margin targets.
- Liaise and co-operate closely with colleagues to ensure that the successful delivery of all customer solutions and to ensure exceptional customer relationship management.
- Maximise business development and networking opportunities.
- Develop and maintain excellent Client relationships to ensure that the company maintains its reputation for delivering on its commitments and obligations.
- To develop the company profile in the market place as the leader in water / waste water DBO projects.
- Work with operations teams on a number of regional projects
Required Experience:
- Experience within the water / waste water industry, preferably with an established network of industry contacts.
- Ability and confidence to deal at Director/Senior Management level and with Public Officials etc.
- A passion and aptitude for Business Development with a track record of success.
- Capacity to be credible and persuasive with key decision makers.
- Exceptional capacity to take the initiative and have a common sense approach to problem solving /achieving targets.
- Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, target driven and results focussed.
- Ability to work within a deadline oriented environment
- Ability to focus both on strategic and day-to-day objectives
- Shows a clear commitment to meeting customer needs with a strong commitment to quality.
